The Seventh Art Museum

Design Studio III
Project Overview
The site of Third Design Studio Project was located in the student park and next to one of the important monuments of Tehran - The City Theater- .

There were three major concerns: firstly, the existence of many tall and old trees on the site and it was not acceptable to eliminate them. Secondly, due to being located next to the City Theater, our design must not affect this building. And the last concern was about not blocking the Pedestrian route from Enghelab Street to the other sections in the Park. These three factors were led the architect to design the whole project underground.
The Seven Cinema Yards (as the seventh art) are built with various elevations, and a Pedestrian route was built on the ground, so that people can have a good view of the yards and also be aware of different events of the museum. Different interior spaces were designed which were connected by different passages in a subtle way. This route providing the viewer a path through all seven yards while simultaneously observing the other visitors in other levels. It is not difficult to follow and allows each visitor to have a unique narrative.
